Destination Wedding Photographer — India & Worldwide
Palace courtyards, beachside mandaps, mountain elopements, heritage havelis — I pack my bags and follow your love story wherever it leads.
Tell Me Your DestinationWhy Destination Weddings Photograph Differently
There is something different about a destination wedding — something that changes the atmosphere in the room, the way your guests behave, the way you both feel when the day begins. When people travel to be with you, when the mandap stands against a mountain or a lake or the sea, the whole celebration carries a weight and a joy that's impossible to replicate in a conventional venue.
And that changes how it photographs. There is more light, more space, more background. There are cocktail moments on terraces with sweeping views. There are stolen couple portraits at locations where the architecture itself tells stories. There are guests who are genuinely present — unhurried, relaxed, miles from their everyday routine.
I have photographed destination weddings across India — from the marble lakeside palaces of Udaipur to the converted Portuguese villas of Goa, from Himalayan pine forests to Kerala houseboats. And every single one has been visually extraordinary in a way that a banquet hall, however grand, simply cannot be.
If you are planning a destination wedding, you already understand what I'm talking about. The question is: who is the right person to document it?
Let's Talk About Your Plans
Where I've Shot — and Where I'll Go Next
Each destination has its own character, its own best times to visit, and its own photographic challenges — all of which I've already solved.
There is no more romantic city in India for a destination wedding. Lake Pichola at dusk, the floating Jag Mandir, torchlit City Palace corridors — I arrive a day early to scout light conditions so nothing is missed when your day begins.
Goa works for the couple who wants warmth without formality — cliff-top ceremonies at sunset, Portuguese villas draped in bougainvillea, or barefoot receptions on the sand. The light here at dawn is extraordinary and I know which beach faces east.
Samode Palace, Rambagh, the rooftop terraces of the old city — Jaipur rewards the couple who wants grandeur. The pink stone turns warm gold at the evening hour, and the architectural detail in every frame is impossible to replicate.
Backwater ceremonies on kettuvallam houseboats, lush hill stations in Munnar, the wild privacy of Wayanad — Kerala is for couples who want something quietly cinematic. The greenery, the water and the unhurried pace create a visual palette unlike anywhere else.
Manali, Dharamshala, Kasauli — for the couple who loves the outdoors and wants their wedding to feel like the beginning of an adventure. Pine forests, snow-capped peaks, and the kind of silence that makes ordinary conversation feel significant.
Bali, Thailand, Dubai, Sri Lanka, the UK — I travel internationally for destination weddings. The logistics of international shoots are something I handle with experience and calm. You plan the celebration; I'll handle my own preparation.
What Happens Before I Arrive at Your Wedding
What separates a good destination wedding photographer from an exceptional one is everything that happens before the wedding day begins.
I arrive at your destination a full day before events begin — walking through every venue space, identifying where the light falls at different hours, noting backup locations in case weather changes, and meeting your other vendors.
Multi-day destination weddings are complex. I work with your wedding planner (or help you create a schedule if you don't have one) to ensure the photography timeline makes sense — protecting golden hour, building in couple portrait time, and ensuring nothing is rushed.
I introduce myself to your decorator, caterer and makeup artist before day one. When the photographer and other vendors have already spoken, everything on the wedding day moves more smoothly — less confusion, fewer delays, more time for photographs.
Destination weddings in coastal or monsoon-adjacent locations require backup plans. I always have alternate indoor or covered locations identified so that even if the weather surprises us, the photography doesn't suffer.

Destination Wedding Photography FAQs
For destination weddings at popular venues — Udaipur, Goa, Jaipur — I strongly recommend securing your photographer 9–12 months in advance. Prime dates at iconic venues fill quickly, and early booking gives us enough time for proper pre-event planning and consultation. For international destinations, 12+ months is ideal.
Travel, accommodation and per diems for myself (and any second shooters) are included in the destination wedding package as a clearly itemised cost. I don't add surprise charges — everything is agreed upfront before any contract is signed. Many couples find the all-inclusive transparency makes budgeting much easier.
Multi-day wedding coverage is something I do regularly and genuinely love. Each day has its own visual character — the intimacy of haldi, the energy of sangeet, the sacredness of the ceremony, the release of the reception. I cover all of it with a second photographer for simultaneous coverage, so no moment from any event is lost.
I treat weather as a creative variable, not a problem. Some of the most beautiful destination wedding images I've made were during soft rain, dramatic overcast skies or unexpected fog. I scout covered backup locations before your event day and carry weatherproofed equipment. Weather has never stopped a shoot — it's just changed it.
This is actually a very popular combination — arrive a day early, spend the afternoon exploring the venue or a nearby location for a relaxed pre-wedding shoot, then wake up the next morning for your wedding day already completely comfortable with me and the camera. It works beautifully and gives you two distinct sets of photographs from the same destination.
